LIFE IS IN STAGES -A POEM

 Life is in stages,
Each step on the ladder is a story.
Difficult as it may,
Do not aspire to give up.

We can if we say we can,
We will if we chose to be our own wheels.
Success is a product of hardwork and harnessed opportunity;
Opportunity calls in breakthrough to those who are ready,

I believe, so I know I can.
I will, so I am less bothered,
Thousands may go behind and against me,
Alas, I am less pertubed!

Life is not a race, says who?
We race against our own selves,
Though thousands might have gone ahead,
I have millions if not billions to still get ahead of!

 Life is a lesson,
We learn it everyday.
Every life has a story,
A story to be told by the individual himself.

I believe I can,
And in no distant time I will.

 QUICK NOTE:
Amidst the hurdles and tussles of each day, do not be negligent or blindfolded. Watch out for your golden spot, and never miss the target.

Yea, be focused, 'cos it may take a lifetime to get on that spot again!
We do not compare ourselves to others but to our own selves of yesterday. That notwithstanding, we should let other people's success stir us thither to go up in our own ladder.

Always remember:
Success is a product of hardwork and harnessed opportunity!
Never forget I said this:
''I believe I can,
And in no distant time I will!''

The Force in Focus!

Focus is the thinking skill that allows people to begin a task without procrastination and then maintain their attention and effort until the task is complete. Focusing on the other hand shows how to pause the on-going situation and create a space for new possibilities for carrying forward.

"Tell me to what you pay attention and I will tell you who you are.” -Jose Ortega y Gasset

Focus helps people pay attention in the midst of distractions and setbacks and to sustain the effort and energy needed to reach a goal. For example, a child would be using good Focus skills when sitting down to begin an essay and then diligently writing until the assignment is done without getting distracted by the television, Internet, or friends. Keeping your attention on what is most important in your life is one of the most essential ingredients if you want to be able to:
·        Stick with your goals.
·        Achieve what you want to achieve each day.
·        Appreciate what you have in your life.
·        Clearly see how you can use your time here in the best way.
Like with most things, this is something that is of course easier said than done. It’s easy to get distracted way too much and to feel overwhelmed, stressed out and spread out too thin. But with some limits, with some barriers that keep much of the daily clutter out you can become sharp and focused once again. So let’s get started with that by establishing or reminding yourself of a few very helpful habits.

Benefits from Focusing
Once learned, Focusing can become an affordable resource in all moments when you want to be in touch with your felt sense, with your intuition and with the wisdom that your body can give you. Focusing permits you to:
  • Understand what you are truly feeling and wanting;
  • Surmount obstacles, make decisions and solve problems creatively;
  •  Become more attentive and friendly to yourself and others;
  •  Integrate body, mind and spirit;
  • Find relief from tension and chronic pain;
  • Be independent from external belief systems;
  •  Deepen and make more effective the process of counseling and psychotherapy.
